The bold lip is usually seen on magazines and has become more wearable..Bye bye nude lips!
A red lip is a classic look but many women are often too afraid to wear it because it’s so strong. Today is a review of two red lipsticks that I have come to love…
Chanel Rouge Allure Luminous Satin Lip Colour in 08 Brilliant
Ultra-feminine and subtly provocative in the way it clicks open and closed, the new ROUGE ALLURE beauty step is a trigger of charm. Its black lacquered case opens with one click to reveal a sensual lipstick trimmed in gold for perfect application. Its supple, ultra-fine second-skin texture glides smoothly over the lips for a satiny and perfectly luminous makeup result. Shea butter combined with a canola oil derivative provides softness and comfort.
Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Pure Lip Colour in 35 Rouge Vernis
A new-generation lipstick inspired by Monsieur Saint Laurent’s iconic color palette—red, fuchsia and orange—in a collection of captivating couture shades that offer each complexion a customized look. Enveloped in a luxurious gold case designed by Creative Director Stefano Pilati, Rouge Pur Couture speaks elegance. Lips are saturated with intense, stay-true color, thanks to the Coloreveal Technology while natural extracts provide comforting moisture that lasts all day. Provides medium to full coverage with a radiant, satin finish. SPF 15.
I got the Chanel first and it’s a nice red that looks darker (oxblood) in the bullet and yet the colour is sheer when applied. This color is buildable so it’s a good red to ease into. The packaging is also sleek with the click to reveal the bullet.
The YSL is super pigmented and I don’t even need a lipliner for this. And it’s super lasting! The forumula is moisturizing enough that I don’t even feel the need for a lipbalm before application. Overall, I prefer the creamy texture of YSL and it feels luxuriously soft and sexy on my lips. It is also pricier at sgd45!
The red lip is extremely wearable with white or black outfits. Try it!
