Denim is associated with casual clothing and the laid-back Western vibe. I adore my denims and I wouldn’t dream of doing without denims in my closet.
However, it’s a tad boring to do a t-shirt/top-comb all the time. Thus, I decided to do a 2-part denim tribute – how I would wear denim in 2 different ways.
Red bib top with gold embroidery – Far East Plaza
Straight-cut dark denim jeans – G-star Raw
Leather belt – Burberry (a tad loose, need to adjust it soon )
Suede wedges with leather ribbon details – Mitju
Black printed PVC bag – Agnes b, Shanghai
Love how my outfit is casual enough for brunch and yet not overly sloppy.
A close up of how the top looks. The versatility of this top is incredible. When matched with my favourite black harem pants and black blazer, I am all ready for work.
Evidence that comfort need not be compromised when dressing up. These wedges are comfy and I can walk all day in them.
On hot days like we are experiencing now in Singapore (33 degrees Celcius, horrible humidity and relentless sun), it’s tempting to wear a t-shirt and shorts together with flip flops. Dressing up need not be a pain. In fact, we need no excuse to dress up. There’s nothing wrong with being practical while being stylish.
Of course, if you have access to a cold cuppa coffee and air-conditioner, take that option! 🙂
Hope you like this post and keep a look out for Denim X Denim Part 2!
Summer is here and as the days get hotter, I’ve been lusting over these gorgeous, weather appropriate footwear.
ASOS POSIE Satin Wedges With Ankle Ties
Wedges with the removable satin ribbons in a very flattering neutral color. Imgine this with an A-lined skirt or cropped cigarette pants. Gorgeous!
Yves Saint Laurent ‘Tribute’ Sandal
Or if u prefer a less teetering & more comfy walk, opt for the 4″ sandal.
Yves Saint Laurent ‘Tribute’ Platform Sandal
Ok, these are a classic and not only confined to summer. Would love to have these in my collection
Could be a collector’s item one day
Guess which Olsen is rocking the YSL sandals. I personally love the one in brown.
Repetto BB metallic textured-leather ballet flats
I love Repetto flats maybe because they make actual ballet splippers. The shoes always mold to the shape of your feet without any pain. Although it might be too flat with no cushioning, not a good idea to wear if you’re doing alot of walking. I personally added another sole on the bottom and found it slightly better.
Pour La Victoire Mai Wedge Pumps
Ok, these might look like the first pair from ASOS but they are different I assure you. This wedges from Pour La Victoire has a tapered wedge which looks slimmer from the sides. My bf doesn’t like the bulky look of wedges cos it’s not as flattering as stilettos. This might be THE ONE. To make your legs look even longer, it’s elegantly pointed.
As seen here by Blair from Atlantic-Pacific
Aint that gorgeous…ahhh
ZARA LAMINATED CHAIN SANDAL
These will be perfect with Maxi skirts or dresses with the right amount of bling.
SANDAL WITH METHACRYLATE HEEL
Don’t you just love that heel…ahhhh
I can never find decent ZARA shoes in Singapore…and I see them all over the internet. rawr!
Ok, I realise that ALL of them are in neutral earthy tones. But in my defense, you can’t go wrong with any of them cos they will be flattering on almost everyone 🙂
